On 07 November 2019, representatives from research and industry met in Schleswig-Holstein to exchange cross-project findings on the topic of &#8220;overhead line-bound heavy truck traffic&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This time, the meeting took place in Reinfeld town hall and thus in the immediate vicinity of the test track on the A1 freeway between the Reinfeld junction and the L\u00fcbeck interchange.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The field trial, currently with a further test track in Hesse, is being accompanied by various research projects dealing with ecological issues, technological challenges and the necessary economic framework conditions, among other things. Topics such as potentials for CO2 savings, stability of the energy network, behavior of the overhead line, reliability of the vehicles, system integration into existing logistics concepts or models for the operation of such an infrastructure reflect only part of the analysis focus in this context. In particular, cross-project collaboration and the ability to look at issues based on the different test tracks and organizational structures are the prerequisites for a comprehensive system evaluation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.erneuerbar-mobil.de\/\">&#8220;Renewably Mobile&#8221;<\/a> initiative promotes research and development projects that tap the potential of electromobility for the benefit of more sustainable mobility.
