On 01 September, an environmental monitoring station was put into operation. It continuously records meteorological data such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, precipitation, radiation, wind direction and wind speed.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The environmental measuring station is of particular importance for the research focus on utilization and technical behavior of the overhead contact line system, for example, in order to investigate the vibration behavior of the catenary systems in connection with wind effects.
