In the  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">In the October<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI)<\/span>, <span data-contrast=\"none\">the Ok\u00f6 Institute<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">and the<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (ifeu)<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">jointly published<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">the final report<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">of their project BOLD<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">They came to the conclusion that<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">v<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">all-electric overhead line trucks <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">(O-BEV) <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">in contrast to alternative drive types such as purely battery electric trucks (BEV), have the advantage of direct and more efficient electricity use in combination with small batteries.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> have<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">O-BEVS <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">perform best in the technology comparison not only in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, but also in terms of all other environmental impacts. <\/span> <span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":1,\"335551620\":1,\"335559685\":0,\"335559737\":0,\"335559738\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">n the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> environmental assessment <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">w<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">u<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">were <\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">the CO2 savings potential of the possible drive technologies. Chart 1 shows that  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">fully electric overhead line trucks achieve the highest CO2 reduction rate (-62%<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> compared to<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> diesel trucks<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">)<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> show<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">en<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">. A truck of this type has been in operation since November of this year by the practice partner  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">DHL \/ <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">German Post<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">  tested on the Schleswig-Holstein eHighway. Followed by the  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">O-BEV<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> in its CO2 balance from the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">n<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">purely <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">battery-electric trucks (-53%<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":1,\"335551620\":1,\"335559685\":0,\"335559737\":0,\"335559738\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The overhead line hybrid truck <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">(OH-<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">truck)<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">w<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">u<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">rde <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">h<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">The CO2 reduction effects of the project are evaluated. The research team  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">assumed <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">assumed a 65% share of overhead lines and calculated<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">  CO2 reduction effects of -34%. Current data from the eHighway Schleswig-Holstein field trial  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">with newer vehicle<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">vehicle models <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">show, however, that OH trucks have a <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">corresponding <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">CO2-E<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">savings<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">even with<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">de<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">significantly lower<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">O<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">proportion of the route<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">can be achieved.<\/span> <span data-ccp-props=\"{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":1,\"335551620\":1,\"335559685\":0,\"335559737\":0,\"335559738\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In addition to the CO2 reduction potential, the BOLD report also looked at other environmental criteria.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">  an overall environmental balance of the various technologies  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">set up<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">  (see figure 2)<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">D<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">after cuts<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">  the fully electric overhead line truck  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">with  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">all K<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">riteria<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">  best from<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"none\">To these  <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">count<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">  In addition to greenhouse gas emissions, the indicator for energy efficiency (&#8220;cumulative energy demand&#8221;
