FESH welcomes visitor from China

REINFELD.
The FuE-Zentrum FH Kiel GmbH recently received a visit from the Kunming University of Science and Technology from China at the eHighway in Reinfeld.

Kunming University itself is working on research and the development of an overhead line system – currently in two major projects that will deal with the technology until 2027.
The researcher from Kunming is part of a working group in China for the international standardization of the eHighway system.

He reported that two eHighway lines would be built between Erenhot and Ulanqab in Inner Mongolia province and between Yantai and Qingdao in Shandong province. There is also a demonstration line for overhead catenary trucks in Xingjiang province. These transport lines are important road routes for the transportation of goods in China.

During the visit to the eHighway test track in Schleswig-Holstein, Kunming University gathered information on the experience gained to date from the operation and research of the eHighway system.
Technical details and topics relating to the safe operation of the system were of particular interest.
