Overhead contact line technology and eHighway topics in “Mobility” lecture series

HAMBURG. The “eHighway Schleswig-Holstein Field Trial” (FESH) will be the subject of the “Mobility” lecture series at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) on Monday, January 17 between 4 and 6 p.m.. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Lebert, Vice President of the Kiel University of Applied Sciences, will give a lecture on the “Potentials of an Overhead Contact Line System for the Electrification of Heavy Commercial Vehicles.” The content will address the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector in order to realize the climate targets of the European Union. In addition to the potentials of the eHighway, the presentation will also address the operation of the test route in Schleswig-Holstein and the accompanying research.

The event will take place online. Interested parties can register online via a form on the HAW Hamburg homepage.

The Mobility Lecture Series at HAW Hamburg addresses current topics of the mobility revolution, with guests from the university landscape, business and politics. It was launched in 2020 to allow a dialogue to develop between scientists, students, citizens, politicians and authorities.
