The field test track in Schleswig-Holstein received a visit from the “BEE – BEV Goes eHighway” overhead line project at RWTH Aachen University. The two overhead line trucks from the BEE project of the manufacturer DAF were tested for the first time on a public overhead line system on the eHighway Schleswig-Holstein.

In addition to night-time test drives of the two DAF trucks, there were also joint research drives with two overhead line hybrid trucks from the Bode forwarding company and the all-electric overhead line truck from Deutsche Post / DHL from the FESH project.

The research trips ran smoothly in wintry conditions. The five overhead line trucks, which were connected to the overhead line at the same time during the research trip, were also used to collect additional data for evaluating the battery storage system from the PowerCharger project.
