FESH video series: Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Rohrbach

The new clip in the FESH video series features an interview with Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Rohrbach from the Technical University of Dresden, who works at the Chair for the Design of Road Traffic Facilities.

“Our question primarily relates to the road users themselves. In other words, we want to know whether driving behavior changes as a result of introducing the overhead line into the traffic area,” explains Rohrbach.

The exciting thing is that some trends can already be derived from the interim results on driving behavior. For example, it was found that road users drive further to the left with the visual guidance of the overhead line than without it, but the relative distance between the vehicles remains the same.
