German Federal Ministry of Transport learns about results from operations and research
LÜBECK. At the invitation of the FuE-Zentrum FH Kiel GmbH, which is responsible for the implementation of the “eHighway Schleswig-Holstein field test”, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Transport and NOW GmbH were informed about the project. The event was also attended by the Schleswig-Holstein Ministries for Energy Transition (MEKUN) and Transport (MWVATT) as FESH project partners, Autobahn GmbH as the operator of the overhead line routes in Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein and the project managers of the overhead line projects from Hesse and Baden-Württemberg.
“At the end of the project period, it is time for the positive findings from the trial to be heard and taken into account in further political decision-making processes,” explains Jan Bachmann, the project manager responsible for the eHighway Schleswig-Holstein field trial.
In addition to the presentation of results by FuE-Zentrum FH Kiel GmbH and an extensive technical exchange between all participants, the program also included a tour of various overhead line trucks and a drive along the eHighway at the request of the Federal Ministry of Transport. The opportunity to gain an insight into the practical application of the system was to be used, according to Berlin.
