Maintenance work and measuring instruments installed
EHIGHWAY. From April 12 to 22, 2021, the project will again check the functionality of the catenary system’s catenary, poles and switchgear cabinets, among other things, during regular maintenance work.
Establishment of a research substation
EHIGHWAY. A research substation was erected Monday night at the Reinfeld junction for the “Energy and network feedback” sub-project of the accompanying research.
Measurements to investigate the mechanical behavior of the overhead contact line system
EHIGHWAY. As part of the semi-annual maintenance, Dresden University of Technology and FuE-Zentrum FH Kiel GmbH installed several reflectors on the overhead line during the night of September 16.
Commissioning of an environmental measuring station
EHIGHWAY. On 01 September, an environmental monitoring station was put into operation. It continuously records meteorological data such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, precipitation, radiation, wind direction and wind speed.
Maintenance work in the rectifier substations
EHIGHWAY. At 28. and April 29, the two rectifier substations were inspected and cleaned as part of the scheduled first maintenance measure.
Maintenance work on the overhead line system
EHIGHWAY. During the period from April 14 to 23, work was carried out at night on the overhead line of the eHighway on the A1. This was the scheduled first maintenance of the overhead lines.
The eHighway in Schleswig-Holstein is operational
EHIGHWAY. On Thursday, December 05, 2019, the function of the system and its overhead line infrastructure could be confirmed by the R&D Center Kiel University of Applied Sciences GmbH and LBV.SH after a test run of almost two hours.
Networking meeting on the subject of “overhead line-bound heavy goods vehicle traffic”.
REINFELD. On 07 November 2019, representatives from research and industry met in Schleswig-Holstein to exchange cross-project findings on the topic of “overhead line-bound heavy truck traffic”.
Rectification work on the eHighway
KIEL. During the commissioning of the eHighway, a defect has been found in a fastening lug of a surplus cross beam/boom that has not been installed. As a precautionary measure, touch-up work on the booms took place until mid-September.
First test drives on the eHighway
EHIGHWAY. After the arrival of the first test truck on Monday, June 3, the vehicle was checked at the Bode forwarding company in Reinfeld and the pantograph was adjusted for the test runs.
