REINFELD. In the spring of 2022, the Danish Road Administration Vejdirektoratet commissioned a study to clarify whether the eHighway system could also be a sensible solution for climate-neutral transport between the Fehmarn Belt and the Øresund.
Building inspection
EHIGHWAY. After the regular semi-annual maintenance in September, during which measuring equipment of the accompanying research could again be installed, the first regular structural inspection according to DIN 1076 was now also carried out in October.

Maintenance
EHIGHWAY. In May, Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentrum FH Kiel GmbH and Nahverkehr Schwerin GmbH again carried out maintenance work on the approximately five-kilometer eHighway test track between Reinfeld and Lübeck.
Public opinion survey: FESH hopes for citizen participation
JENA. Opinion of the population asked. In the “eHighway Schleswig-Holstein field trial” (FESH), an anonymous survey on acceptance among the population is part of the accompanying research. The goal of this survey is to capture the broad perception of the eHighway project.
Maintenance work on the eHighway
EHIGHWAY. In the weeks before Christmas and since January 10, the installer of the overhead line system has been carrying out work on the eHighway for the precautionary replacement of components that were not resistant enough to the salt brine applied during winter maintenance.
